Here are the rules:
1: Post these rules in your journal
2: Each tagged person must post 8 facts about themselves in their journal
3: At the end, you must tag 8 people and post their icons in the same journal
4: Go to their page and send them a message that they have been tagged
5: No tag-backs
1/ This is the first time I've ever responded to anything like this, and I'm only doing so tonight because the person who tagged me is called Dave and I've just finished putting together an Ikea table called... Dave. I thrive on coincidences like that
2/ My father was Australian and I lived in Melbourne for 6 years in the 1980s. I went back in 2003 and have been back every two years since then. I'm planning to go back again next January. I've never been to America and probably never will
3/ My favourite spot in the world is a small town called Cassis outside Marseille in the south of France, but I've had to stop going there because there are too many tourists these days
4/ I worked for a stockbroker until last August, when I set up my own business doing corporate communications. I was a business journalist before working in the stock market
5/ My favourite novel is Madame Bovary, probably the most perfect piece of writing I've ever read. I re-read it every couple of years. Flaubert's correspondance with Georges Sand is fascinating too. I also like Stendhal and Jane Austen
6/ At various moments in my life, I've wanted to be an actor and a novelist, but never succeeded. I now think I'd like to be a dancer, but I'm too old now. I also love cooking and occasionally have vague thoughts of setting up a restaurant, but I suspect I never will
7/ I started taking photographs a year and a half ago. I'd posed for a few photographers some time ago and must have decided it would be a good creative outlet for me
8/ I'm currently trying to decide where (and when) to go on my next holiday. Maybe a Greek island in late April ?
And here's the hardest part, the 8 poor unsuspecting people I'm tagging (I don't even know 8 people!)
